Introduction of skeleton container semi-trailer (skeleton car)

Skeleton car only
Frame girder, no flat baseplate
The ISO standard twist lock is installed on the frame, which is specially used to fix the container and is the most commonly used trailer for port and inland container transportation.

骨架车只能拉集装箱,不能直接放钢材、工程机械这类散货;自重更轻,装货净载更大。

 structural composition

  1. main frame
: High-strength steel welded frame, no baseplate, reduce weight; branch straight beam, gooseneck skeleton. Gooseneck model has a lower center of gravity and more stable driving.

  2. ISO Twist lock
: Retractable twist lock to lock the four corners of the container. Common configuration: can hold 140ft, or 220ft containers.

  3. Walking system
Mainstream three-axis, also available in two-axis/four-axis options; mechanical spring suspension (preferred in the African market, cheap and durable accessories); 2-inch traction pin, dual linkage outriggers, braking system, 24V lights.

  4. Annex
Fenders, toolboxes, reflective markings. Bulk goods cannot be stacked directly without flat plates.

Common three-axis 40-ulna lift parameters for foreign trade

  • Dimensions: 1240024801550 mm

  • Weight: Approximately 4.8 to 5.5 tons (much lighter than a flatbed trailer)

  • Rated load: 40 - 60 tons

  • Adaptation box: 20GP /40GP /40HQ /45HQ

  • Tire: 12R22.5 vacuum tire, 12

Skeleton car advantage

  1. lightweight
Compared with flatbed trailers, it weighs less and has a larger effective load, saving freight and fuel.

  2. It costs less.
: Without the entire flat steel plate, the purchase price is lower.

  3. Lightweight, good heat dissipation
It is suitable for running container lines for a long time.

  4. Simple maintenance
The structure is simple and there are few failure points.

Skeleton Container Semi-Trailer | Uses and Scenarios

 core purpose

skeleton car
No baseplate
The frame is equipped with an ISO twist lock, which is specially used to fix standard containers and only carries ISO shipping containers such as 20GP/40GP/40HQ. Lightweight, maximize effective cargo weight, and focus on container line transportation.

 segmented application scenarios

  1. Port, container yard short down
Container transfer in the terminal, stacking and moving boxes in the yard, and high-frequency short-distance operations are standard models in the port.

  2. Inland container trunk transportation
Container delivery from ports to inland warehouses, freight yards, and factories; the core trailer of multimodal transportation (sea + land transportation).

  3. Cross-border container logistics in West Africa (mainly promoted in Ghana and other markets)
After customs clearance at the port, the containers are transported to inland cities for a long time. The advantage of light weight is obvious, the pulling cabinet can hold more goods, and the first choice for fleet bulk procurement is suitable for paving the main road.

  4. Railway container yard transshipment
Loading and unloading containers between railway freight yards and trucks.
